Katy Hearn’s seasonal challenges are so popular these days, so popular that they sell out instantly,
But is it actually worth it?
I tried the Winter program, most of us including me was disappointed with this seasons challenge and someone of them even considered the challenge to be SCAM,
*Continue reading to find out which alternative program I recommend instead of Katy Hearn Challenge.
Table Of Contents
Katy Hearn Challenge is an 8-week intensive body training program that incorporates strength and weight exercises, cardio, plyometrics, and stretching.
There Are two options for anyone who’s looking to take part in the challenge:
It’s up to you to choose which one’s good for you.
These workouts are customized for both home and GYM workouts.
The program is set for 5 days a week where you can get some rest for the other 2 days.
Other program reviews:
Four years ago I was in perfect shape, but a few months after my marriage suddenly I started to gain some weight which I did not know until it got worse, after 6 months or so I’ve put on 32lbs (14kg), this got me freaked out even my husband was extremely surprised after he heard about it.
I thought I had diabetes at just 26, but it wasn’t.
I have to go back to my usual look. From then on, I reduced my meals and did everything I could possibly do to get back my golden days, but nothing worked out.
I was so pissed. Whenever I get out, everyone stared at me,
From then on, I was ready to do anything and immediately started searching for a weight training program, and after days of searching for a program, I came across Katy’s Instagram page.
After scrolling through her page for about 20mins and watching her workout videos, that body of her took my eyes off, not to mention her wonderful glutes, this inspired me so much, and I came to know that she conducts this seasonal program.
Without knowing or researching anything about Her or the Program, I immediately downloaded her app and signed up for the Coached Winter Challenge because I’m kind of a person who seeks some assistance in complicated things which I haven’t done before. This cost $200 for enrollment which is not cheap by any means.
After the purchase, you get some fancy extras:
All these made me feel like I was into a real threat, but it really wasn’t.
All these extras seem really awesome when you see them, but the outcome was not great. For example, the group for support and help wasn’t active. Basically it was DEAD; also the Food recommended in the nutrition guide was expensive.
The support for Coached Participants was no help; they just copy and paste the same thing in the handbook for all the participants, I came to know this from my friend who enrolled for the summer challenge, and it was just a carbon copy from what I got.
I expected much more, but it was a huge letdown, especially the Email support, I paid an extra $100 for that but it wasn’t the thing they promised, I never got a good experience, even if I got any replies, they were short and never got my answers, just felt like the communication should’ve been better.
You’ll be better off with the Uncoached option.
However, I continued the workouts, each workout was focused on a different muscle group.
After a few weeks, I felt like I was doing the same thing over and over again, plus It feels like that they’ve randomly thrown every workout together.
You can even find the exercises on either Youtube or some other websites on the internet.
We were told to calculate the macronutrients(macros). This was the only thing I clearly understood throughout the program and was something new for me, but my coach refused to check my macros and cardio except for once throughout the challenge.
Also if You’re a beginner, then the workouts in this program aren’t for you. I had some experience in these workouts even before I came to know about this program, which came in handy.
And just wanted to tell you, some of these workouts require you to access the GYM.
Anyway, I thought I could get back to my normal look, if not a simple weight loss, but unfortunately nothing happened, after spending so much, I expected something for me to happen, but it did not.
To be honest, I cannot recommend this program to anyone whose goal is to lose some weight, at least some weight, and especially if you’re a beginner, stay away!!
They’ve mentioned that this program is eligible for beginners, but in truth, it isn’t.
Coaches are lazy, less experienced, the responses were slow, and it felt like this was a half-baked program. To be honest, maybe it was only my coach who knows.
And the workouts were very basic, nothing too fancy. I’m pretty sure that you might’ve done at least some of these workouts before.
Katy Hearn Challenge is great for someone who is looking to get fitness back, have some fun with the workouts, learn something about macronutrients and call it a day off.
If you’re looking to change your lifestyle, this is simply not the thing you might be looking for; I think this challenge would be nice if this was free.
Otherwise, for $200, it definitely isn’t What you think it is.
